Government of India under National Education Policy 2020 intends to enable students across the nation with the Academic Bank of Credits system for fulfilling their thirst for knowledge by providing academic flexibility to pick and modify their educational paths, link diverse disciplines and assist them in acquiring the proper foundation and building blocks for their ambitions.

ABC portal is an educational digital platform created to facilitate students for seamless mobility between or within degree granting Higher Education Institutions through a formal system of credit recognition, credit accumulation, credit transfer and credit redemption in order to promote distributed and flexible teaching and learning. It digitally stores the academic credits of the students earned from Higher Education Institutions registered with the bank and supply appropriate data for the Higher Education Institutions to award degrees, diplomas/ PG diplomas and certificates as merited by the students over a period of time . University of Kerala has onboarded in the Academic Bank of Credits Platform of UGC on 7th January 2023 and started registering candidates for uploading their credits.
