Student Activities

COSSA

Computer Science Students Association (COSSA) is a student organization formed by the Department for managing and organizing various co-curricular activities. It is guided by the Head of the Department. It organizes timely seminars, workshops, festival celebrations and other activities. There are various units working under COSSA for efficient and effective handling through its Placement Cell, Alumni Association, Website management cell, Academic Activity Cell, Environmental Committee, Extra Curricular activities etc. COSSA also helps students to develop and reinforce their personality and confidence level by encouraging them to present seminars, develop their organizing skills and improve their management capabilities.

Each year new members are elected from M.Tech and MSc for the posts of president, vice president, secretary, and committee members for website, placement cell, academic cell, environment cell, extra curricular activity cell etc. Faculty members are also elected for each committee to assist the students. Executive meetings are held quarterly or half yearly to present the report on COSSA activities and to evaluate performance. At the end of each year a newsletter is published that contains the one year programmes and activities conducted by COSSA.
